Self-discovery through the
visual journal
Join us each month for a guided art journal practice to open new insights and growth through ancient wisdom teachings.
These live sessions will be facilitated by Pam Hausner, a certified mindfulness meditation teacher and Dharma teacher-in-training.
It's time to get out your art supplies (or use what you have)
Each month we'll explore new insights with an open heart, exploring new ways to integrate wisdom and its universal truths into our lives.
What does a typical session look like?
At the beginning of each series, we'll create a handmade journal from simple materials to invite a more personal connection to our self-discovery. Mindfully creating our visual journal starts the process of insight integration.
If you are new to creating handmade journals, you can watch the video below to help guide you through the simple steps of making your journal.
Of course, you can use a purchased pre-made art journal if you'd prefer. The best journal is the one you will actually use, so do what works best for you.
Mindful meditation practice of approx. 5-10 minutes.
We will begin with a time of mindfulness meditation, helping us to bring our full present-moment awareness to our session. The process of working in the journal may also include additional guided visualizations.
Teaching and guided art practice.
Approximately 1.5-2 hours
The process of working in our visual journal can vary from session to session, but generally includes using art journal techniques that open up new ways of understanding our thoughts and habitual behaviors and how we might more honestly and compassionately meet reality. This process can be very liberating and transformational.
